21 Jump Street (2012)

Written by Phil Lord, Chris Miller
Directed by Michael Bacall
Starring Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum

I don’t like Jonah Hill & I don’t understand who does. Having said that I do like Channing Tatum so where does that leave us?

This film was ok. It’s recycled, obvious and unnecessary but if you don’t care about what your paying for you should go see it. I’m sure you will laugh more then once. It is a funny movie.

Basically this is a film about a couple underachiever cops who get sent back to high school as undercover students looking for a big drug bust. Of course they have trouble fitting in and locating the drugs.

Tatum and Jonah are not very believable as friends in the movie or in real life. Jonah is awful. Just awful! Tatum as I have said before shows real potential and is a rising star. He does a good job of expressing believable emotion through out this film. He made the film watch-able in-between all the jokes.

Bottom 5 rating: This film is just way to plain and packaged for any consideration of being art. This is what they call a tent poll project. It's purpose is to keep the money machine going. This movie is what makes film goes disappointed with Hollywood.
